However, users need to understand the right way to take CBD oil, how much to take, and the effect it has on the body.

How to Use CBD Oil?
CBD oil is meant to be taken sublingually.
This means absorbed under the tongue.
This is a common drug administration method; it is not unique to CBD. There are mucosal glands under the tongue and along the cheeks that provide a direct pathway to the bloodstream.
Getting as much CBD into the blood is the goal. This way it can be distributed around the body.
We recommend holding the CBD oil in your mouth as long as possible. Ideally, you want all the CBD to be absorbed under the tongue.

Compared to smoking CBD, sublingual is less efficient. More CBD will be used when it is absorbed through the lungs. We believe that sacrificing a little bit of efficiency is worth not having the long-term risks of inhaling hot smoke.

CBD oil taken sublingually is believed to have a decent bioavailability, with a rate landing somewhere between edibles and smoking. The exact amount of CBD that will be used is hard to say. Much of the effectiveness is up to the user. Swallowing most of your CBD oil will result in lower bioavailability.
Some users are turned off by the fact that some of their CBD will be wasted. This is ok. No administration method is perfect. Even injecting CBD directly into the bloodstream will likely result in some being lost in the process.
How Much CBD Oil Should I take?
For new users, it is wise to start slow.
Try 10-20mg your first few days taking CBD. Monitor how your body responds. If you feel like you need a higher dose, increase to 30-50mg.
Most scientific studies done on human test subjects use between 25-75mg.
A person’s body weight, metabolism, and tolerance all factor into what dose will work best for them. Unfortunately, there isn’t a number that works for everyone, it is up to the user to find their dose.
Many CBD experts believe there is a sweet spot. Studies have shown that when you increase the amount of CBD in the dose, benefits could decrease. More CBD doesn’t necessarily mean more benefits. This is another reason to start slow and find the right dose for you.

While CBD is generally regarded as safe, there have been rare instances of users reporting negative side-effects. These aren’t severe, but it’s good to be mindful when trying CBD for the first time. Fatigue, loss of appetite, and stomach pain have been reported, but these cases are rare.

Cannabis prohibition has been primarily focused on the dangers of THC, not on how we can use the plant for its medicinal purposes. We are beginning to see more clinical studies done on human subjects, but not nearly enough to fully understand how CBD should be used to treat specific conditions.

Other cannabinoids like THC and CGC can bind with endocannabinoid receptors in the ECS. For THC, this causes the brain to be flooded with serotonin and dopamine, resulting in a euphoric high.
CBD’s relationship with the ECS is believed to be through enzymes that reduce the production of endocannabinoids. This is why it is imperative to take CBD consistently.
You aren’t going to get the immediate reaction that THC delivers. CBD takes time to affect the ECS. Take every day for an extended period to feel the benefits.
The ECS is believed to regulate bodily functions like mood, appetite, memory, pain, and the sleep-wake cycle.
CBD Oil – A Tried and True Method
We like CBD oil because it is fairly efficient and doesn’t have the potential to create any serious long-term harm. Compared to edible CBD products, sublingual CBD is more efficient. While its bioavailability isn’t as high as smoking or vaping CBD, it is much healthier.
